I've migrated to lightwave for animation work (although I still think
POVs raytrace renders are far superior) and am playing around with
trying to "convert" some POVRay procedurals to LW format. I'm thinking
this is doable and have been trying with metals to start but can't get
them quite right. Anybody that might have any suggestions on how some of
the POV texture calls would translate to LW would be appreciated.

Tony

Hi,

the simplest way would be to render your textures to an image.

Use a plane and one light. Place the camera over the plane.
Do not use any finish parameter.

POV-Ray is one of the best texture map generators around.
