Does anybody have - or know where I can get - the full syntax for the
PovRay scene description langauge?

I'm at my wits end!!

Thanks for any help,
Paul Groves.

Keith Rule wrote a book titled '3D Graphics File Formats' in which he
gives a full grammar for POV-Ray 2.2. It's was published by
Addison-Wesley Developers Press.

His website, http://www.europa.com/~keithr, can probably give you more
info.

Oh, a wise guy eh?? :-) All the documentation I've ever seen contains
the syntax - its just spread all over the place. I'm just being lazy
- I thought an online version would be available...

Oh well, out comes the text editor...

Pauly.

The documentation is EXCELLENT, well organized, indexed and
with a Table of Contents. If you are looking for a quick
start guide then you should look at the windows tutorial
program that can be found on the original "Official" Walnut
Creek POV-Ray CD-ROM (refers to POV-Ray Version 2.20).

Did you try POB-SDK ?
POB-SDK is some kind of pov scene file parser, and gives back a binary
file which is chunck oriented, much easier to import and export for
other progs ..
