Hi all,
Can anyone tell me which model of a fisheye-lens is used
by POVray's fisheye camera? In particular, how are the points
on the spherical projection surface mapped to points in the
2d plane of the image?
Is it:
- an orthographic parallel projection (just zeroing the z-coordinate),
- a polar azimuthal equidistant projection (the polar coordinates of
a point relative to the "north-pole" of the sphere are used as
the polar coordinates of the point in the plane),
- or something more exotic?
Replies to my email address please.
Thanks,
Richard
