I have noticed discussions about employing dynamic library loading for a number
of topics, including loading other modeling language formats.

Has there been any thought to allowing the addition of new internal functions
coded in C via dynamic libraries?  It seems like there are a lot of branches on
the POV-Ray code to add new ones, but rather than rebuilding the whole thing for
every new function, would it make sense to just load them at runtime?
