Hello,

would it be possible to put the "crand" feature back into future versions of
pov-ray? It's not in 3.7 anymore and I really do miss it. I tried a work-around
with the grain pattern as described in:
http://news.povray.org/povray.general/thread/%3Cweb.4fb822208ba377448aa4293a0%40news.povray.org%3E/
..... but it did not work :(

Ok, I didn't tried this, but is it possible to do something like this:

#version 3.7
......
code here
......
#version 3.6
crand stuff here..
#version 3.7
keep on going...
....

Not with the current version. But crand is coming back in the next RC.
