William F Pokorny's toying with them :-)

SDF is a "Signed Distance Function" - just a function, with useful properties.
He has links in the description, and earlier videos on his channel.

Nope - I was too flabbergasted by what he was doing.
The entire scene is essentially one big isosurface with custom functions for
texturing.
