Processing is SDL-based and its FREE - like POV-Ray.
Its also multiplattform.

Theoretically you can let POV-Ray render something, and then have "Processing"
do additional automatic "Picture-Processing steps" on your picture.

Take a look - it may be worth.

While the newest version of "processing" is from February, the program itself is
over 15 years old and well tested. A bit like POV-Ray.

Theoretically POV-Ray could get an additional entry in its GUI for "Processing"
this could add a lot of new features to it.
