What about the rest? The leafs? Do they look geometric or round? They
are actually cube cages with subsurface division modifier on.
Fact is that for some reason I strived for a pipe reminiscent of Super
Mario 64, even though the piranha flower itself is far more detailed
than in that game... I actually lowered the number of edges in the
default Blender cylinder.

well, guess we'll all be happy when tabletops a la Microsoft Surface
become an everyday reality...

And that's the important thing. :-)
When we purchase things, we try very hard to purchase things that will
last. With the Intuos4 tablet, the one thing that I've read about is
that the nibs wear down faster than with the Intuos3 and the Bamboo
tablets. I don't know that I'll notice it as much as a professional
graphic artist, but we'll see.

I have found that that is often a bad strategy, actually. :-)

Those would be awesome for tabletop RPG sessions, you must admit. No
having to hunt down/lug around 500 lbs of books, just load it up on the
tabletop and slide it around to whoever needs it, and for displaying
maps and diagrams, being able to zoom in and out and pan around and and
and...

So far, it's worked well for us. Now that we can afford to do so, that
is - we didn't always do that, but having good tools has really helped us.

can't wait for the future. Though I'm just living it right now like I
never thought possible in my childhood... :P
