The image site I've visited has exceptional images at very high
resolutions....which site are you visiting?

I dunno, I just pulled up a photo of M81 and it looks pretty good to me -
maybe a bit grainy (but that's to be expected as it's an un-retouched
photo).
I guess it depends on what images you're looking at.
