I do take it poorly, it does not sound like humour just rudeness. As does your
tirades against fluoride in the water supply. (If you had my teeth you might not
be so antsy.) I do understand that it is considered by some to be immoral to
force a medication on to the whole population and have my own doubts on the
matter. IMO your method of putting your point across is counter productive. It
makes for difficult reading and turns people off. Try the gentle way and if that
does not succeed then you have done your bit so you can just look after your own
self.
As for insulting a friend of mine by implying that he is insane. I do not
appreciate it.
One further thing, it might be polite where you come from to call someone sir
but I take it amiss. I am not a member of the nobility neither have I been nor
will I ever be a white slave master or anything of that ilk. It is not a sign of
respect to me but one of toadying.
Please tone it down.

I appreciate that you *finally* got my name right. That's a step in the
right direction.
As to your words, you are right, your words cannot put me down unless I
let them. You need to learn to control your "knee jerk" reactions and,
as I said a couple of times, if you find yourself getting angry, take
your own advice and just walk away. Your failure to do that is what has
led to these confrontations.
As for me, I've walked away. So be proud that you got someone to take
one piece of your advice. But the more I read of your posts, the more
I'm convinced you need clinical help, and I urge you to do so. Whether
you do or not is your own business, but do it before you hurt yourself or
others in a real and irreversible way.
Jim

I hear ya there. We've got new exam going into beta that's consuming all
my time right now (along with a system redesign for part of the exam
delivery system). Will have to work over the weekend on some of it.

Ah, but what about vaccines, where having everyone take them is far more
effective than having only some take them?

You mean, _most_ vaccines. ;-)
For most vaccines (measles, etc), it's an economic decision - not a
health one. It's cheaper to vaccinate than to treat - and also saves
money with parents not having to take days off to take care of their
sick children.
That's why the HPV vaccine is having trouble, and why Gardasil et. al.
are becoming very aggressive in advertising. If it ever becomes
mandatory, it'll cost the (US) health industry *more* than if no one
were vaccinated - it would be the first mandated vaccine to put a strain
on the health care industry (resulting in lost resources for treating
other ailments).
All because the HPV vaccine is _much_ more expensive than the other
mandated vaccines.
