It all math.   All of it.
There's no light, there's no camera, there are no objects.

But somehow it all gets added and multiplied to really make you _think_ there

Ouch !

I feel good isosurfaces mastering could be about that approach when I look at
William F Pokorny's toying with them :-)

That went completely over my head.  What is sdf?  Am I supposed to know 
that?

And did anyone else notice that the highlights in eyes were from the 
wrong direction?

SDF is a "Signed Distance Function" - just a function, with useful properties.
He has links in the description, and earlier videos on his channel.

Nope - I was too flabbergasted by what he was doing.
The entire scene is essentially one big isosurface with custom functions for
texturing.
