Probably the same way I, as a territorial resident, do: with gaping jaws.

Except in the Iranian government, where they probably see Trump as
confirmation of what they always believed about the USA. I don't know
if that diplomatic damage can ever be repaired.

Well yes, he is the worst leader the USA has had to date, and he is bat
shit crazy pending a diagnosis by any doctor who won't instantly be
fired; but you underestimate the human capacity for bad leadership and
bat shit crazy.

Consider Baby Doc Duvalier, who ran Haiti into the ground, and Anastasio
Somoza Debayle, who failed to rebuild Nicaragua after the 1972
earthquake. Consider Benito Mussolini, who was so toxic to Italy that
they executed him, and his monarch Victor Emmanuel III, who was so
ineffective at controlling Mussolini that the Italian people banished
the monarchy altogether. And what the hell happened with the Nepali
royal family?

How about Robert Mugabe, who, notwithstanding his heroic leadership in

2000s, and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo who heads the world's most
corrupt government? Then there are Kim Jung-il, who took North Korea
from a respectable communist dictatorship to a starving concentration

Maduro?

Adolf Hitler is automatically worse than anyone else, but how sane can
you be to attack Russia during the winter?

And finally, I seem to recall a King George III of Canada et al., who
was so bat shit insane that he lost all of his colonies to the south.

Pervasive human incompetence is literally the reason Jehovah's Witnesses
are waiting for Jesus to come back.

I'm positive this list is far from complete. How bad was Nero, for example?

It seems that Nero was a tad less bad than history recalls him, but
Caligula, he was bat shit crazy, and Commodus was not much better, nor
Tiberius at the end of his life.

Power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts, as the saying
goes I believe.

I wonder how Boris Johnson is going to evolve.... ;-)
