My understanding is that the "Glorious Revolution" started with an
invitation to Prince of Orange. So it doesn't count.
The backlash is still going on in Northern Ireland, though.

I concur with Stephen. That was a different course of events. I think
that the expression "most glorious defeat" was given to the battle in
order to save face. :-)
