Now I am interested in how the bad doctor will respond.
He will see the obvious trap and the subtle on. But how deep is the

Hmm. Quite a clever move, certainly good enough to trick a master player
into moving somewhere like South Kensington. I, however, will perform
the little-used triple re-entrant with diagonal twist and go to:
Warren Street

That was a little predictable; OTOH given the threat posed by both Jim

Everything is going according to plan. Good, good. :)
That left the diagonal open for my surprise move to South Kensington. :D

No, no, no! How many times do I have to tell you?
Never.Leave.Your.Reverse.Open
You can recover, but might I suggest you first study some of the classic
games referenced in Sherry K. Shaw's 'The Light at the End of the Tunnel
and Other Hallucinations'?

Do I detect a certain level of sarcasm there? ... and this from a man
who is incapable of performing a double Humphrey with split diagonal?
No matter. Sven is on his way to tutor you in the more arcane skills of
reverse entrants.

Good, then I will get all the ins and outs of your doings.
You went to Warren Street. Then I to Leicester square and Jim to South Ken.
Even without taking my socks and shoes off. I reckon it is your turn and
you are prevaricating because Jim has set you up and is in with a chance.

You mean like the scenario on page 273, which seems to be playing out
right now? ;)

Exactly so. Incidentally, her anecdote about her clandestine meetings
with a certain grey-haired Scot (named S-----n) is most amusing as well
as possibly providing blackmail material [wicked grin]

So then you concur that "recovery" really isn't the right word to use
there. :)
I don't know that the blackmail will be necessary, but we'll have to
see. ;)

For the uninitiated. Morningside is an area in the city of The Athens of
the North. Where sex is something you used to deliver coal in or the
number after five. :-P

Not necessarily. IIRC a similar situation occurred at the end of the
classic game played by Schroedinger, Nils Bohr, Gottfried Leibnitz and
Alan Turing at the 54th MC International held in La Paz. A very young
Humph was refereeing the game and made a ruling that stands to this day;
unfortunately I can't remember what it was. Maybe Jim can help us out
since his brain cells have not decayed as much as ours.

I seem to recall that the ruling was something along the lines of
"Zzzzz....Huh? What?"
Then Samantha tucked him back in.
I'm not sure what happened next, though.

Fair enough I take the hint.
Beau Brummel variation:-
Where the next move must be made in a timely and fashionable manner
employing cultivated transportation between stops of interest that will
not bring a blush to the faces of our fine ladies or gentlemen.
Naturally local knowledge of foreign parts will be respected and only
incontrovertible evidence is supplied. (Clause xxiii)
It is fashionable to leave Bath for the cities, at this time of year.
So let’s start by taking the waters before we commence.
Bath. That’s Jim’s move now, John.
xxiii In this case the accuser will be deemed not to be a gentleman nor
one of those of the fairer sex. Thus Huffing themselves until they run
out side, turn round three times in a widdershins direction, spit on the
ground and buy a round of drinks.

Somehow I hadn't noticed the subject on this post - 637 is a number
that's near and dear here....it's an error code in a product I was/am a
SME in that indicates a serious issue that can be easy to fix, and I was
involved in some of the original work done on how to fix it. :)
Anyways.....
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/oct/12/google-creates-ai-
program-that-uses-reasoning-to-navigate-the-london-tube
It seems that Google is learning how to play Mornington Crescent. Now
that's terrifying.

641 is a very different error code. In fact, off the top of my head, I
don't recall what it is....<checks reference book I wrote that contains
the definitive list from the time> Ah, yes, INVALID_REQUEST. That
figures. ;)
