It's not about bravery.
It's about doing what I need to do to win

We don't count. We measure.
That's why we get it right. :P

Are you sure about that?
I'm positive he said that he was the Mekon (ruler of all the Treens).
Well! There you go. Who would have guessed?

That's what I was thinking.
Believe it or not, you can still play it:
http://www.myabandonware.com/game/battlezone-3xw
I spent many an afternoon in the local candy store (that a "Sweet Shop" in
British English ;) ) playing "Ladybug".
That is, when I wasn't hammering out code on my Vic-20 or Atari 800XL, or
playing ZORK.

Lagavulin is rich, exquisitely flavoured, smoky peaty heaven in a glass.
He had good taste, and I'm very sorry for your loss.
As soon as I'm able, I'll hoist a glass of Islay to your Dad, and to you, and
hope that you make it as far along as he did. :)
Kindest regards,
Bill

We know what a candy store is.
Cue The Shangri-Las with Leader Of The Pack.
When space invaders hit the arcades they also appeared in pubs. But you
could never get near them.
A couple pf months ago. There was an article on the BBC site, saying
that a retro arcade game shop had opened in London.

Not me. I am hopeless at games. I've played: Kingdom on a PDP11,
Colossus Cave on a unix machine connected to my terminal by Tropo
Scatter. (Press key and read a page of a book, in the summertime.)
Altho' I must admit that I've become addicted to Elite. The space cowboy
game.

Colossal Cave Adventure - I have yet to play much of it.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/colossal-cave-adventure/9wzdncrdlv4h
I had access to an actual Vax once, but didn't have much in the way of
legitimate reasons to use it for my job.
My brother and I spent days playing the original Atari, and then he got
ColecoVision and Nintendo, etc.
I spent many many hours playing Grim Fandango, Diablo, Diablo II, Doom, Heretic,
Hexen, and Obsidian.
Lots of good stuff :)

I recognise the names. I've played Doom (Godmode) And wasn't Colossal
Cave Adventure the same as ZORK but for a different platform?
And I actually paid good money for The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
(Text game).
