the final sentence makes grammatical sense. If they can make a valid sentence, the

Samantha who has been down in the gramophone library uncovering some of the
greatest hits, I have ever seen. Mentions that it a bit awkward doing this
across the time zones with odd balls popping in and out at Will.
So we will play using the “hands across the water” rules for these legs. And let
her spread them out.

Good point, Stevie.
To reiterate the rules: There is no set order for players. You may not
answer your own post. It is considered good manners to allow at least
two others to reply before you post. In the case of cross-posting, the
first reply counts.

Pigswill Stilton has inadequately been to another casual, though

Clipka, start the next sentence (BTW You don't need to wait for
confirmation of the challenge)

It's not my task to do that challenge, but I do not see the problem.
(Hint: I would play "Disneyland", or "city" or "fair", or whatever place
in one word to close the sentence)

I would have challenged the position with a star (but it was not mine to
do, was it ?):

Pigswill Stilton has inadequately been to another casual, though *
eerily and * spooky

The challenger always starts the next sentence unless, of course, he/she
doesn't want to.
Samantha doesn't want to rub you up the wrong way so she has offered to
let you go first ;-)

BEEP! Incorrect grammar. 'eerily' is an adverb, 'spooky' is an adjective.

BEEP - the challenged player failed to, within one post, produce a valid
English sentence starting with the words already played.

You lose, no matter what derivative of the English language you claim to
be using :-P

You forget that were are playing to “hands across the water” rules. If
we had been playing to the Royal and Ancient rules you would be
perfectly correct. But as it is, you are in Knapp.

That only happens when Samantha is in play on the table.

Why, yes, of course we do. But what you forget is that while those rules
allow a challenge to be avoided by a continuation of the sentence, such
a continuation would have to come from a player /other/ than the
challanged. Besides, according to the Guildford clarification of 2013 it
would also have to be posted no later than 31 minutes 41 seconds after
the challenge.

A masterful summation of Henderson's Variation. I had forgotten that the
Guildford clarification was made in 2013.

Forgetting that might require a forfeit be performed before you come back
from Knapp.

Seems you're not keeping up with your full name, though. ;)

It's getting later in the evening here. Which reminds me - what are you
doing up at such a crazy hour?

As I said, a blackbird singing etc. Not a bad way to be woken - almost
as good as a Feegle crawling into your bed and telling you that the
shadows are 'scarely'.

Ah, yes, I remember days like that. We had an incident once at our first
house with K. coming down 3 flights of stairs to our bedroom (it was a 5-
level split-level townhouse; his room at the top, ours second from the
bottom) dodging velociraptors when he was about 10. We'd watched the
second Jurassic Park movie without (a) knowing what was in it, and (b)
realizing that the dinos might give him nightmares.

For us, it's usually cats singing these days. Having moved a bit north,
the nights are much shorter than they used to be, with sunsets
approaching 9 PM and sunrise around 4:30 AM.

Indeed they are. The Feegle is terrorising his cousins (or at least
thinks he is) and the Kat is enjoying being cooked for,

In a couple of months, we'll all be over there for some much needed R&R

Where will you be headed, if you don't mind my asking? Or do you mean
Bratislava?

(in context, "there" was initially interpreted to mean "the US," hence my
question)
