Hi all,

Does anyone know of any free/cheap tools for converting OBJ files to the MAX 
file format. I don't have a copy of 3D Studio but I want to be able to 
convert my 3D models into the MAX format for other users.

I'm also looking to convert my models into Maya format

Have you tried Wings3D, it can export/import several formats.
