Looks like it has already met its funding goal.
I find it interesting that seemingly 'niche' stories like this end up on the
major news outlets; just saw it on the BBC.

Probably because Braben has some mates at the BBC - it made the front
page of our local Cambridge rag too.

Fitting enough; not only did the original game make computer history -
it was also originally written for the BBC Micro (Model B) computer :-)

It did? That shows how far out of the loop *I* am, when it comes to gaming. Like
Stephen, I never play 'em. But Kickstarter seems to be *full* of game projects.

A workmate of mine had the BBC Micro version and he raved so much about

... and now, 4 hours to go, they've reached the 1.5M as well. Gee, I
