Seriously? You wonder why? That was the stereotypical music of American
suburbs and diners in the 50's. :-)
It's called Do Wop music.

It's not obscure in America. Just old.

It was humor.

"Audio CD (30 January 2012)"
Not sure that counts as "old"...
(Unless you meant that the musical /style/ is old, in which case, sure.)

Sure. I know that. But just saying "do wop" doesn't convey just how
awesome this stuff is - at least, not as well as listening to an actual
example.
Personally, I wish music like this was still in the charts, rather than
the R&B crap we have to listen to today. (But who gives a **** what I
think?)

I couldn't tell if it was humor or it was just the fact that you're from a
completely different culture, language, and generation. :-)

Yes. Plus, there's lots of old music that gets re-pressed to CDs.

Well, that's certainly plausible. The cover art makes me doubt that
though...

Just checked Amazon.co.uk again. The CD is listed. Thrice. Three item
codes. All marked "out of stock". So that's really helpful... *sigh*
