What happens if you play one session of Civ II for 10 years?

  Apparently it ends up being a hellish nightmare ridden with constant
nuclear wars that make 90% of the world uninhabitable and the only way
to survive is to keep engaging in a constant unending nuclear war.

Apparently the game balance needs tweaking. I don't suppose play-testing 
covered this sort of epic time-span... ;-)
