That's a preview of the Windows UI anyway, isn't it? Or does it really look 
that similar on a Mac?

  The Mac version of POV-Ray looks completely different. (Also the output
path at the bottom of the screenshot is a clear tell-tale that it's being
run on Windows, as MacOS X doesn't have paths like that.)

  I'm not sure if you could run the Windows version of POV-Ray directly
from MacOS X using a virtual environment running Windows (I don't remember
now what it was called on the Mac), but in that case you would download
the Windows version of POV-Ray, not the Mac version.

It is POV-Ray 3.6, the official version and it most certainly will not
run on Lion and on previous versions it will only run on some machines
in Rosetta (PPC emulation).
