In the category of "well what do you know, I had no idea you could do 
that"...

Today I discovered that you can hyperlink PowerPoint slides together. 
And if you disable the slide transitions, you can basically make 
yourself one big navigable product brochure, rather than a linear 
"presentation" as such.
