Most sounds that happen inside your head sound much louder to you than
they do to everybody else.

Well, yeah, there is that.
I especially liked the comment the dentist made about how if he'd kept
all the teeth, he could have made a little necklace of human teeth by
now. "It would be like Predator." Thanks for that, guys. You're really
not helping me...

They gave me blacked out sunglasses to wear! After I saw the size of the
injection they were about to give me through the small gap under the
glasses, I kept my eyes tightly closed for the rest of it!

Heh. I remember vividly having impacted wisdom teeth removed. One was
done at the dentists chair. I opted for nitrous. Fun stuff. The rest had
to be removed by an "oral surgeon" Though I don't remember the actual
extractions due to the general anesthetic I was under I do vividly
remember the aftermath.
Lets just say a mouth full of stitches and an upset stomach don't mix
real well. I couldn't keep down the painkillers if I wanted to.
The next morning, I decided the painkillers were a nice novelty to look
at. I didn't need them. The stitches were highly annoying, though.

Yeah... On the one tooth they removed (A wisdom tooth). I kept hearing a
very loud snapping sound. Almost like the pliers they used couldn't grip
the tooth and kept slipping.

I have no idea why I laughed so hard at that.
Somewhere around here I have the video tape taken through the eyepiece of
the lasik machine they used to do my eye surgery. I'm not squeamish about
that stuff.

Maybe the thought of peril-sensitive sunglasses crossed your mind... it
paid a visit to mine at any rate.

I have had only one wisdom tooth removed because it was horizontally
impacted and thus could with high probability cause problems later in
life (all the other three wisdom teeth have developed nicely, so there
has been no need to do anything to them).
The method they used was basically to break it into small pieces with
a drill (or some other similar tool, I'm not an expert) and then extract
all these pieces. It felt like a rather efficient way of doing it, without
causing too much discomfort or trouble.
Curiously (and thankfully) recovery was almost completely painless.
I didn't even need to use any pain medication (besides what they gave
me right after the procedure). There was quite visible swelling, of course,
but almost no pain at all.

The filling kept getting infected. I lose count of how many times I had
it refilled. In the end, they decided to just remove the tooth and be
done with it.
