Ah, but PBS over here runs a couple of his shows periodically, usually

If it is the one I'm thinking of, the last time I heard it was at the
start of a bad trip. Not mine but I spent the rest of the evening

I would expect that if any decent number of people got immortality, we'd
figure out how to get around that. It's a pretty common science fiction
theme, at least.
