Yours is a valid interpretation of what was written. Most probably not
what was meant, but I might remember that you tend to misinterpret more

yeah, then after all forests are down, it's only a matter of feeding all
the mosquitos who lived there praying from the local now dead fauna with
our own cityfolks blood and coping with yet less oxygen and more global
warming and the end of the world. Sure nature strikes back the greedy
virus...
