Hallelujah, praise the Lord! After ten years, today we're *finally*

Based on the title, I though Half-Life 2: Episode 3 was released.
Thanks for getting my hopes up. :-P

Aww, sorry about that. Yes, that would indeed by very neat - but the
last time I heard, they hadn't even decided what the storyline was going
to be yet. (Heh, way to plan a game series! And to think I was expecting
them to have it all planned out from before HL1 was released...)

I thought it was because of God of War 3 launching. Blood Red Letters... :)

A projector! We stopped using ours ages ago when we got a big TV in each
meeting room :-)

Actually the amount of profit the whole company makes has quite a small
impact on the budget my department gets. What made a much bigger difference
was that we *lost* a key project, which meant we didn't have to pay for a
lot of stuff, which meant we had the money left over to buy other things.
And the way it works here is that any money you have left over on March 31st
gets taken away from you. IOW because we sucked at winning the project we
were forced to spend a 5 digit sum of money on other stuff (new laptops, TVs
etc) - incentive or what!

Dude, that's *advanced*! :-D
But anyway, my point was, my employer has a fairly serious lack of cash
right now. Apparently banks tend to not like lending money to companies
that keep posting larger and larger losses. I can't imagine why...

Er, no. ;-) Actually it didn't take that long to unpack it, set it up
and try it out.
The colours are so much more saturated. And it seems to be possible to
achieve a sharper focus. The image is much brighter; it lights up the
whole room. It's just about readable even with the lights turned on.
(Would probably be illegible in bright sunlight though.) And it's much
quieter - although still not as quiet as I'd like...

That's because they think they're the only ones who should get money for
posting losses.
