Or "using Google to find the lyrics to that song I heard one time", as I
prefer to call it. ;-)

Something that might help: apply a hot tissue. And maybe a muscular
relaxer with B Complex.
Good Luck. Cheers.

water from a tap BTW as it can be too forceful. For muscle strains a bag
of frozen peas is good.)

Usually, a percogesic and a foam neck brace. If the muscle is really
sore, a cream with methyl salicylate to bring some blood back into the
muscle.
Percogesic is paracematol and a antihistamine/relaxant. Methyl
salicylate cream is usually for arthritis, but helps for sprain/strains.
And a neck brace lets you try to relax your neck without worrying about
holding your head upright. All combined, it looks silly and makes you
smell like you bathed in altoid mints but works.

There was a documentary on PBS about dogs. Apparently there is a place
in Mexico where people raise hairless dogs and use the body heat of
puppys as a muscle relaxant.
