The song "May it be" (LOTR, part 1) is sung by Enya. If you own the standard
edition DVD LOTR 1 the clip is included. Unfortunately the clip is missing
on the special extended DVD.

I once listened to a song of hers eight or ten times in a row trying to
figure out the words. Then I gave up and dug out the liner notes, which were
written in a handwriting so crabbed it was illegible. So then I looked it
up online, to discover it's in Gaelic.

Neither of those is random. Gaelic spoken at home, English at school,
and Latin in church. (at least I think that would be rather likely).
