This is getting more and more done by skydivers along with basejumpers.
Granted, skydivers won't follow any wall :-).

he almost touches the rocky wall! Must be a surgeon to get that kind of cold

I think the scary part of that is that touching the wall will mean you draw
your hand in, which will just angle you more towards the wall. It's not like
scraping a wall in your car or something. :-)
