I'm just amazed how cool this is (although one would probably only be
able to appreciate if if one has heard music by Eminem).

Here's some guy who is really pissed off and ranting (warning, *tons*
of F-words):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65ea873fF2Y

Ok, nothing special about that. Some guy just letting steam off and
cursing a lot.

  Now here's an instrumental track:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLx60TZ9_T8

Ok, nothing very special about that either. However, what happens if we
play these at the same time? You can do it here (if you have a slow
connection, pause the videos and let them load and then unpause them):

http://www.youtubedoubler.com/?video1=http://www.youtube.com/v/QLx60TZ9_T8&video2=http://www.youtube.com/v/65ea873fF2Y

I'm simply amazed by the result. If you have ever heard music by Eminem,
I think you will be too.

LOL! That's great!

When I was a kid, my cousin and I made a silent 8mm movie. At some point, I
realized that if I played a certain record by Henry Mancini (Walk on the
Wild Side) along with the film, it seemed to fit perfectly. It's odd how
that happens sometimes. I must sound really old now. ;-)

My dad had a think where his TV was hooked up to two video sources, and
his stereo system was hooked up to only one of them. The result was that
he'd turn on the TV, turn on the second video source, turn on the
speakers, and you'd get picture from one channel and sound from a
totally unrelated channel while he searched from the remote control.

Usually just garbage, but sometimes really, really amusing things would
happen. Like watching East Enders with comedy jazz over the top. Or an
air freshener advert with Iron Maiden playing. Some interesting moments
in there...

Goes to show that with the proper soundtrack almost anything passes as
rap... :P

How about some hard core metal:

Given that the soundtrack is most of the time sampled or played back, may we
deduce that rap is anything?

I think that he himself posted somewhere that it was just staged,
ie. he was just fooling around rather than doing it seriously.

Not bad as an actor job, then : some vibrato in the voice... you could swear
he is feeling the emotions he fakes.

I find it hard to believe that people like this kid, or the numa-numa guy,
don't realize they're doing it. He had to set up the camera, and he had to
upload it. It's not like it's candid camera here. :-)

Well, in theory it could be plausible that it was a hidden camera (set
up eg. by his brother or someone) and that he wasn't aware of being
filmed (and the part posted to youtube is only a small section of the
whole video). But from what I have read, it seems that he made the video
himself, on purpose. Maybe he wanted his 15 minutes of fame badly. :)

My coworker once got mad at me, 'cause I told her that Eminem doesn't
sing, he talks :-). I think I'll rest my case.

Apparently this one *is* such a case:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWBfLOZ2CjQ

(The other videos by that guy are even worse.)
