Then I think a trip to the Caribbean is in order for the two of us...and
any family members we wish to take along. :-)

I turned down a job there a couple of weeks ago. A training job, 4 hours a day
for 3 weeks. The money was poor and as I'm not a beach person there's not a lot
to do as the course was in the afternoon.
PS It was in Jamaica that I discovered PovRay eleven years ago, now. Sitting in
my apartment, smoking ganja and reading the Pov documents while PovRay took days
to render. :)

That could be an issue, yeah....

I've got to think now, when did I start playing around with POVRay? 1990
or so. In fact, when the wiki was being set up, I had a chat with Chris
about the days on CompuServe, and he pulled up the entry for a render
that I'd created of my old cribbage board. I had to borrow a scanner to
do the textures for the playing cards (I wanted to scan in some Russian
cards I had purchased in Moscow).

So we will be seeing something in china for your twentieth Anniversary. I'll
need to do something in silk :(

I had to borrow a scanner to do the textures for a Newton's cradle made out of
Red Stripe bottles (4 days)

Maybe, I've never been particularly good at textures.

I wish I still had my model - or the image.

Dan Farmer dropped in the newsgroups here a few months ago. I don't know
what happened to Truman, though.

I seem to even have difficulty with a matte white finish. Top that. :-)

You mean grey? :)

Actually I meant my scene and models but a look at yours would be good too.
I spent a long time modelling my Red Stripe bottles. I spent a whole evening
looking at them both full and empty, knocking them together to get the "ching"
as they collided in the Newton's cradle. A very tough evening ;)
