Saw this really cool piece on St Pauls Cathedral last evening .....
Wren certainly had a NON Gothic vision and did his best to not compromise
that idea.
I was also fascinated at some of the engineering difficulties that Wren
(flyling buttress) and Hooke (dome and arch reinforcement) were able to
overcome.
Has anyone been to St Pauls? ..... impressive!

Not been inside, but it certainly looks impressive. He also did the chapel
at my university college, which is cool :-)

Yes, but I did not get up to the "whispering gallery" because it was closed :(
