Heh. Oh well, I guess this isn't so interesting then...
By the time it gets to the part about using a special makefile to run
GCC and then crawl over the output with SED to build a new makefile
which then contains the actual dependencies, I'm sitting in my chair
thinking "Jesus, just design a tool from scratch that does the job
properly! Stop trying to juryrig this old dinosaur together to do
something which it clearly isn't very good at!"
OK, so now I think I might take a stab at writing a make replacement...
[As if I didn't already have enough unfinished projects.]
