By the way, Gail, how was Seatle? Did I miss the trip report? :-)

Seatle's great. I just wish it was as well known as Seattle.

Seattle was great. Cold, but great.

I didn't post a trip report here. Sorry. I did blog each day from Seattle
(although many of the posts are rather short), so if you want to read that in
lieu of a report here, it's here -
http://sqlinthewild.co.za/index.php/category/conferences/pass-2008/

It was an absolutely hectic week. Each day of the conference started at 7am and
ended around 11pm and was non-stop right the way through.

I met more people that I can possibly remember. The best part was that I could
meet lots of people that until then I'd only chatted with online (on the SQL
forums)

Going to the conference as speaker instead of attendee was a different
experience. I got more out of it than I did from previous conferences by been
more part of it, rather than just attending it.
