"Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter computer game
developed by German video game developer Crytek and published by
Electronic Arts, and is the first game of a planned trilogy. It
was released on November 2007."
Either your counting *really* sucks, or you are confusing it with FarCry
(which, btw, was published less than 5 years ago).

Wait, it was only released last year? It seems like people have been
complaining about it *forever*!
Oh, wait, that's *two* years ago... GAH! >_<
Damnit, my counting really sucks. ;_;

Nope, the year before that.

Nope, under 1,5.

Yes, it does ;p.

But - far more importantly - the GeForce 200 series supports CUDA! ;-)

To understand why this is important:
http://tinyurl.com/7wrmqu
Last time I tried to post this stuff to Zazzle, I gave up after about 40
hours of rendering. It *still* wasn't of satisfactory quality! But with
a 50x speedup [it doesn't say against which CPU], it's plausible that I
might *finally* be able to generate high-quality images!
(Note that rendering is *not* resumable! Hence 40 hours of rendering
requires me to go without sleep, etc.)

You need to be awake for your computer to keep running?

Or rather, I am unable to sleep if my computer keeps running. :-/

Heh. I'm not *that* much of a nerd quite yet. ;-)
No, the multiple fans make too much noise. (Not to mention the two blue
LEDs illuminate the entire room sufficiently to enable photopic vision...)

1) Move it to another room?
2) Buy a quieter case. There are ones which are really quiet.
