On a side note, I know some guy from work who has 6 fingers, both hands and
foot, fully functional! I don't know him well enough though to ask wether he
plays the piano... :/ His sons have it too. :P

It's actually a dominant gene. I understand there were towns in Ireland
a few hundred years ago where everyone had six fingers.

If it's dominant why they're still not around? Couldn't get around with
the decimal system? ;P

Because one of the side-effects of that gene is that they're cannibals
(cf. Hannibal Lecter), and they ate themselves to extinction.
