Several of them, actually.
It's linked from an article on "macromolecular crowding", which explains
that when you have really, *really* high concentrations of large
molecules (such as proteins), the individual molecules get squished up
against each other in such a way that it radically changes the chemistry
of the whole solution.
This is partly why proteins don't behave the same way in a testtube as
they do in a real, living cell...

Urk....
I knew someone who was an amateur body builder, once. Aside from having
scary huge arms, he was a pretty nice person for the most part.

I'd like to have a little more meat on me.
I emphasize: a little.

I often sit nearly motionless for such long periods that parts of my
body actually go numb. I should probably stop doing that...

Generally not healthy, no. At least you stay relatively thin...

Heh, yeah. Not for long, if my dad is anything to go by... In fact,
several of my trousers no longer fit very well! o_O
FWIW, I did investigate joining a gym the other day. But apparently they
that kind of money...
OTOH, I can just walk up and down the stairs a few times completely for
free.
