I think that would be a (rather common) mistyping. I assume that
gedac*k*t was meant. The lonely 'c' in 'Gedact' does strike me as rather

Type each word into dict.cc (it's gedacht by the way) and then you get a
little speaker icon on the right where you can hear a human saying the word
(for most words, computer generated for others).

"Diapason" is... (Even though that's English, I'm not sure exactly how
it's supposed to be pronounced.)
