They're really not paying me enough for the amount of shit they're
giving me. Including the shit of arguing with me over (a) how much
they're paying me and (b) how much shit they get to give me.

What a familiar refrain :-)
I got a couple atm that are real PITAs. One, a reasonably large chain of
Estate Agents, frequently issues contradictory instructions and then
denies having made either until I produce the offending documents and
the other, a small chain of internet cafes listens to me, agrees to
implement everything I advise and then proceeds to do the exact
opposite. Aaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!
John (wondering if it's legal to shoot clients like that)

Actually no it's not! However it's perfectly acceptable to pretend to pinch
there heads off .... ;-)
I have a view from my desk that allows me to pretend to pinch customers
heads off before they enter the shop. It's especially uplifting if I've had
a bad day.
Cheers

Yup! Of course it is. 'Cause I've just done that :)
My latest client has just told me that my contract is only to be extended for 4
weeks instead of the three months they said originally. Unfortunately (for them)
I got a new contract immediately and I don't have to hand in any notice because
my contract ends tomorrow. Guess who screwed them to come in for a couple of
extra days next week :)
I won't say how much because I'm embarrassed :) :)

Why be embarrassed? Shout your achievements from the rooftops, publish
upon these very pages, send for to slay the fatted calf, let joy be
unbounded (...and then buy me a drink, it's your round first ;-) )

Because I'm a socialist and working class ("very" according to my sis' in-law) I
asked for a ridiculous day rate expecting to be told F' off but my bluff was
called :)
As for buying the first round consider it done ;)

Did you ask for enough to make worth the pain?
