Today, at approximately 0700, I rolled over in my sleep and thought to
myself "gee, I wonder what the effective data transfer rate of a human
ejaculation is?"

I worry sometimes... o_O

I wouldn't worry about the thought as much as you writing it here...

LOL there is a state between sleeping and waking where mind takes strange
shortcuts.
I call it flash dream.
Sometimes I get what I think to be genius thoughts like a strong and deep
intuition.
Unfortunately as soon as I have woken up the thought vanishes.
Seriousely I think it is just the impression of a Great Thought but it is
just crap...

I do recall laying in bed one morning and thinking that I should
probably encrypt my sandwiches so nobody can steal them. Like, WTF?

When you are dreaming, everything is possible. Peoples can fly.
Some times, as you are waking, there is a moment when you become aware of the
real world around you, but you are still dreaming. You may think you can fly,
but you're better not to try.

Astral Projection, People can fly.
