Heh :). It's based on
A) human possibility to decide, what is actually needed and
B) the stream of washed clothes coming to the closet.
Same system works flawlessly with dishes, too.

LOL! For me, it also has to do with the ability to pull something
wearable out of the closet in complete darkness, as I often leave the
house before the sun comes up (in spite of my strong desire to not be up
before 9 AM). I've had some *interesting* combinations over the years.

Indeed it does. :-)

I bet you've never worn one brown and one black shoe :)

I'm trying to think if I've done that. I've done blue/black socks, but
in at least the last 12 years, I haven't mismatched shoes. Part of the
reason is that 5 years ago, I bought two pairs of ECCOs, and both pair
are black. I have mixed the pairs up, but as long as I get one left and
one right shoe, I'm good to go. :-)

Mmm, that must have been hard...
I wish I could emulate this feet. Although people are occasionally nice
to me, none seem interested in speaking to me unless they actually want
something. :-(

Well of course if any mold has developed on the surface you scoop that
off first.
