OK guys, after the relative success of Saturday, how about we meet up
again this weekend?
When: Saturday 19th April, 5 PM onwards.
Where: The Xscape in Central Milton Keynes.
It's about 4 miles from M1 J14, or about 1.4 miles from CMK train
station. They have various pubs and resturaunts in there - although I'm
not 100% sure what's open on a Saturday night. Suggest we meet up at the
climbing wall. Because you can't miss it - it's a 30 foot wall of rock!
What do you think guys?

Yeah, there's a little voice in my head telling me I'm supposed to be
doing something else this weekend, but I couldn't tell you what... hmm.

Well, I'd love to make it there, but it's going to be impossible for me
as my son should be coming back from London by then. But, it doesn't mean I
can't be at the next one. :)
Btw Andrew, it really was great to meet our treasured PoV Mascot! :)

Finally remembered to check my diary and nope can't make it, took a look
at the rail times anyway. Heh I've got to go through Brum (or something
like Worcester-Oxford-Coventry-MK) and I'd have to leave just past 7pm;
fookin great! I really am going to have to sort this car out or propose
meetings in the morning :-P

If I left at ~10am I'd get there at 7pm leave at 9:30pm and get back at
4pm so only an 18 hour return journey with a 9 hour stopover in Edinburgh
in the middle of the night; heh looking at the MKC trains at least I'd be
sharing the time with Andrew :-)

Forgot to mention 9 hour each way return rail journey from Brum to
Aberdeen ~£110; 2 hour each way return flight from Brum ~£115.

I note the direct train from Kings Cross to Aberdeen takes two hours less
then from Brum in fact even the ones where you have to change are just
under 8 hours oh and you have a direct train leaving at 21:40 to Euston
that takes 10 hours. Nobody loves Birmingham :-(

Ok, I'll post it here cos there's no rendering happening to post in p.b.i.
I've crossed out work ref's because I don't want a bullet in my temple.

This is how it's been for the last 8 years, and I know where everything

Yeah, but I'm a blind git. ;) Well, almost. If you think this is bad, I
remember watching an early morning news prog where the interviewer was
addressing a Doctor for some reason, and behind the Doctor was his
computer - he didn't have ANY blank spaces! Should we be worried? ;)

She won't find them she'll know where they are.
I've only had this laptop less than a month and my wallpaper is half
obscured. Think what it will be like in a year?
You think PSP and the cursor goes there itself :) (Pov starts
automatically, of course :)

Ah therefore unprofitable (unless you charge more) and a service that
should be removed ;-)

Yeah, no it was a fairly wooshable statement. As everything's privatised
now a train service with few passengers is most likely unprofitable
therefore the company running it has three options - 1) Charge more. This
covers the cost of running the train at the price of losing customers to
whom the service is non-essential, therefore requiring you to charge more
to the remaining customers until you're only left with those who *have* to
use it being charged a small fortune. 2) Drop the service. Best option in
that you now have a free train and driver to put on a more profitable
route. 3) Get a subsidy from the government. Better option, you can still
charge a near-exorbitant fee and 'make-up' your losses from the taxpayers.

I hope to but I won't know until tomorrow if my Project Manager will
want me to travel on Sunday. I'm also a day out I thought that this
was Wednesday, a problem working from home. I lose track of time.

I will be brief but not nearly so brief as Salvador Dali, who gave the
world's shortest speech. He said, "I will be so brief I am already
finished," then he sat down.
