Well **** me backwards... Travis Perkins replied. o_O

Some of you may know I sent them an electronic copy of my CV in early
December after seeing an advert in the local newspaper. I suspected I'd
never hear from them ever again.

But wait. I just opened a letter [yes, they *paid* to reply to me].

Apparently, I don't get the job.

Well, that's not so surprising. I suspected I'm probably not what they
wanted for this particular position. But hey, I'm just amazed they
actually bothered to reply. Usually employers just don't bother to speak
to you unless they want to interview you.

Wow.

Blog material is off-topic. So, it's on-topic on an off-topic group ;-)

Ah yes... I keep having these delusions that somebody actually gives a

There's always the "ignore" option in your newsreader. This *IS* off-
topic, is it not?

Sheesh.

I'm pretty sure somebody does, the tricky part is finding him/her...

Well, don't be. Just because a few people complain doesn't mean you
should stop what you're doing. If you changed direction everytime one or
two people said "dude, you suck!", you'd never get anything accomplished.
