I have added spectral rendering capability to DeskLamp using LILYsoft
SpectralRender. It is in beta at:
  https://github.com/CousinRicky/POV-DeskLamp/releases/tag/v3.0-beta.1

Unfortunately, our most prominent color experts, Ive and clipka, have
not been around for a few years, though I think Bill Pokorny and Scott
Boham are familiar with color science. I am not completely certain that
I have the color definitions or the lumens calculations correct. The
colors and luminosities render as expected in preview mode and with
unfiltered emissive SPDs; but in spectral mode with daylight SPDs
filtered with colored bulbs, or daylight SPDs illuminating colored
objects, they are off by more than seems to me can be explained by the
coarse (10 nm) band resolution. Any suggestions, corrections, or
reassurances would be appreciated.

In the meantime, I have finalized DeskLamp 2.0.2:
