Hey guys.  In my ongoing exploration of how to light correctly, I'm running
into a problem I think a lot of new users experience- sense of scale using
GI.  It's mostly a problem with cities.  No matter how high resolution my
textures and models are, all of my city shots end up looking like a
miniature clay city.  It's something about the softness of the GI.  I've
tried knocking down the brightness of the radiosity, didn't help.  Gamma
won't really work because it changes things relative to one another- it's
not actually solving the small/clayish look.

I'm pretty certain it's an issue with penumbras and falloffs created by the
GI- I know light looks very different at different scales, which is why a
small model of a city will never look like a real large one.  I only know
the basics of the radiosity settings, like recursion and brightness- for
all the rest I'm using defaults.  What settings can I use for getting
convincing GI on large-scale city models?

(Also, a solution involving better direct light from the sun or proper haze
won't really fit- I'm trying to get an overcast day (no sun,) and haze is
already being used)
