maybe you can help me as i am fairly new to algorithmic animation.

here is what i wanted to do:
- draw some lines (like handlines- irregular spiral) in 2d/3d by hand-
possibly splines.
- let a long text flow along that lines, varying the size of the words.
- animate the text along the line path.

is there another simple way to draw splines that would do the job. i heard
there was a programm epstopov for mac around but did not find it anywhere,
except dead links. or are there more simple ways to do the job ? i work on a
mac by the way.

any suggestions welcome.
