Hi all,
  Here is my problem...
I had a scene consisting of a main smoke df3 image in a box media container.
But now I want to put that container in another scene which has much
smaller dimensions and different camera position etc. But now in the new
scene my smoke is at the corner of the box media container and half of it
is cut off. I had to do some scaling and translating of the media container
to fit it into the scene, so i'm wondering if this also causes the media
inside the container to shift? It shouldn't, I believe, but I don't know
how else to explain the change in the position of my smoke density.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Actually I just tried redefining the media container to simply fit the
scene, but again the media is not the same as before. So it isn't the
scaling or translating...anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks.

Media density requires an inverse rescaling when changing the scale of the
container object. And df3 is going to also act in a manner such as image_map
does when transforming it. You'll want to think in those terms then. For
example, adding "translate 0.5 scale 0.5" to the end of the density
statement (or block) and then multiplying the container object scale by 2
should show the same thing as it would if no changes were made.

You probably had some typical confusion going on. I saw this message after
replying to your latest question.

Yeah, I think I had some confusion regarding the container object and how
the rescaling works. Thanks for your replies...I'll look into it again.
