When openning povray i get a message, Backend thread failed to complete
init
,and then povray closes

can some one help me with this

On what platform? Did POV-Ray started OK before?
Some possible causes that I can think of:
- A bad download->get a new copy and reinstall
- Something went wrong during the install->optionaly uninstall, reinstall
- Under windows, something broke in the registry, you may need to 
uninstall/reinstall
- An initialisation file may be damaged, it may be possible to manualy 
repear it.

sending you a special version with some debugging information in it.
