I have used Images as textures, but they are not translated on the sides of
p.e. a box.
Yes, if i turn it by 90 degree, it is on the sides, but not any more on the
front/back....

Whats the trick to do this?

That's not the trick. That's another feature. Look in your manual for
'uv_mapping' keyword. For example chapter 6.7.7
