The question was asked about adding a smoothly rounded base to a conical
flask.
To me, the problem seemed quite complicated. But after I drew it out, it
simplified itself quickly.

The image with the description of the calculations is on p.b.images as
Conical Flask Geometry.
The working .pov file is on p.b.scene-files under the same name.

Thanks for the reply, it was me that was asking about the conical flask.
Using the above geometry file and your other bottle file I have been able
to create a flask with both a smoothly rounded base and a neck. However, I
have a couple of problems, see
http://www.orang-utan.com/geometryrichard.gif . I can't see how to get rid
of the grey areas, in the torus of the base, and between the neck/body
join. Are you able to help? I can e-mail you the source if you want.

Thanks,

Richard
